March – the month when we celebrate women
In March, we celebrate women but the contribution women have made to medical science throughout history should be celebrated all year round. There are numerous women who have pioneered in medicine. For instance, Rosalind Elsie Franklin who is best known for her part in the discovery of the molecular structure of DNA. Helen Taussig discovered the cause of “blue baby syndrome” and saved the lives of thousands of babies. Similarly, Maria Montessori focused her attention on children as well. Her contribution to research in early childhood development is remakable. The name of the American doctor Virginia Apgar is probably known by most mothers as she developed the Apgar score that physicians use in order to assess the health of newborn babies. We strongly believe that the contribution that women are able to make towards better health is enormous. This is inspiring as women have, and will continue to be making good health available to all people. At Goodwill Pharma, a large number of our products focus on maintaining women’s health. Our latest product launched for women, Japonica Femina is a hormone free dietary supplement developed to support women in menopause. For us, it has been and will remain of pivotal importance to provide effective and innovative solutions for women in the future as well.
